Questions

Asked about the Cumberland Plateau.

Can I drive a kei truck on the road on the Cumberland Plateau?

Tennessee registers a mini truck as a medium speed vehicle, which may run at up to 35 mph on streets posted 40 mph or less, with a Class D license, where the county, city or TDOT has not barred it. The Tennessee page gives the full rule.

What work suits a kei truck on the Plateau?

Site work at the quarries where the operator allows it, cattle and hay on the farms and the woods. 85 percent of people on the Plateau live outside urban areas.

What about a newer truck governed to 25 mph?

It enters the country as off road equipment, governed to 25 mph. In Tennessee it works private land and farms on a title-only. The Tennessee page has the rest of the rule.
