Can I own one here

Owning one in Ellsworth County.

On your own land, yes

Owning a kei truck and working it on a ranch, a farm, a mine or private property does not depend on a road title. Some states still ask for a title or an off road registration.

A 25 year truck on the road

Road use with limits. A micro utility truck may drive Kansas public roads that are not interstate, federal or state highways. City streets open only where the city allows it.

A newer governed truck

Off highway vehicle. Nonhighway certificate of title. The micro utility truck definition asks whether the truck could exceed 40 mph as originally manufactured, so on its face it reaches a governed truck as well as an old one.

Roads and towns in Ellsworth County.

Roads open. State law opens the county and township roads of Ellsworth County outside its cities to a UTV of the work-site class and to a micro utility truck, which is the class a kei truck falls in, and keeps them off every interstate, federal and state highway. Ellsworth opens its streets to registered micro utility trucks and work-site utility vehicles under Ordinance 3111 of 22 March 2021, never K-156, K-14, Douglas Avenue or 15th Street, and the other cities were not read.

In town Some

Work-site utility vehicles, micro utility trucks and golf carts may use the public streets, roads and alleys inside the city once registered and insured, never K-156, K-14, Douglas Avenue or 15th Street, though they may cross a highway posted 35 mph or less. Each needs a slow moving vehicle emblem and a red flag. All-terrain vehicles are barred. How to import a mini truck, step by step.

A newer off road truck never lands in California. It comes in through Tacoma or by way of Houston.

Trucks travel in containers, one to a 20 foot box with room for parts or three to a 40 foot box.

Road miles are an estimate, the straight line times 1.2.

Importing a kei truck

The essentials, in short.

A truck under 25 can come in only as governed off road equipment, and only if its engine family held an EPA nonroad certificate for that model year. No kei engine family was certified for mini trucks before model year 2010, so a truck built after 31 October 2001 and before model year 2010 has no federal door until its 25th birthday.
