The package rethought: the front pillars moved well forward, the wheelbase cut 520 mm (back to 1,900 mm) and the front wheel houses put under the seats, for a bigger cab and a wider door opening. A turning radius of 3.6 m on 2WD (3.7 m on 4WD), the best kei truck figure. Ground clearance 185 mm. Midship engine and rear drive kept, suspension retuned for the short wheelbase. The ATTACK 4WD keeps ultra low and ultra reverse gears. More galvanised steel and rust proofing wax. A driver i-SRS airbag standard, passenger airbag by type. The only kei truck with a rear towing hook, a groove in the tailgate for loading ramps, a bed work lamp by type and the battery moved under the bed. TOWN with radio keyless, power windows and locks and a CD tuner. Types STD, SDX, ATTACK and TOWN with 5MT, 3AT and the UL/UR 5MT. Built by Yachiyo Industry at Yokkaichi. 10-15 mode 17.6 km/L on the 4WD 5MT.

A truck under 25 can come in only as governed off road equipment, and only if its engine family held an EPA nonroad certificate for that model year. No kei engine family was certified for mini trucks before model year 2010, so a truck built after 31 October 2001 and before model year 2010 has no federal door until its 25th birthday.
