January 1999LaunchFull model change for the October 1998 kei rules, on sale 6 January 1999 with the Every.
Full model change for the October 1998 kei rules, on sale 6 January 1999 with the Every. A semi cab over layout: a small bonnet with the front wheels moved forward of the seats, a new three piece frame, an A to A pillar pipe and door beams. 100 mm longer and 80 mm wider, bed width 1,410 mm, wheelbase 2,350 mm. Engine moved under the driver's seat so it can be checked with a load on. Rack and pinion steering, wall to wall turning radius 4.3 m. Engines: F6A SOHC 12 valve and the new Si turbo (SOHC 6 valve turbo). Driver airbag a maker option. 4WD is Suzuki's Drive Select 4x4, switchable between 2WD and 4WD while moving; the 4WD 5MT has a high and low sub transmission (2x5MT); a 3AT was new on the 4WD turbo; power steering standard on the turbo. Wider rust proof steel and frame undercoat, a one piece bed floor panel, much stainless steel in the exhaust. Grades KA, Turbo and Nouhan (farm).
November 1999Minor change, larger bedA lengthened bed for the whole range, flush mounted gate lock hinges and a retractable rear gate chain on the Nouhan to free bed space.
Released 25 November 1999. A lengthened bed for the whole range, flush mounted gate lock hinges and a retractable rear gate chain on the Nouhan to free bed space. Engine retuned for low and mid range torque and given EPI electronic fuel injection. Clutch start system on MT trucks. Seat back pocket and cup holders on all, fabric seats on KC, Turbo and Nouhan, door pockets and armrests on KA, molded door trims elsewhere. Driver airbag optional on every truck. Wider use of rust proof steel. Mazda's release for the same truck says the cargo box is 90 mm longer.
November 1999Minor change detail To confirmThe cab was shortened to make room for the longer bed.
The cab was shortened to make room for the longer bed. The bonnet, fenders and every front panel except the doors changed, so the late truck does not share front panels with the January 1999 truck or with the Every. The front badge went from the S mark to the SUZUKI wordmark. The carburettor on the naturally aspirated 2WD was dropped, every truck now injected. Grades reshuffled into KA, KD, KC and KL.
May 2000Partial improvementA budget KU grade with a radio.
Released 17 May 2000. A budget KU grade with a radio. Driver and passenger airbags, four wheel ABS and seat belt pretensioners as a maker option set (on the Nouhan, airbags and pretensioners only). ja.wikipedia adds that the Turbo grade was dropped here.

Body notes
- Two different trucks share DA52T. From January 1999 to October 1999 the bed is short and the nose is the Every's. From November 1999 the cab is shorter, the bed 90 mm longer and the front panels are different. Front panels and the bed do not swap between the two.
- This is the first semi cab Carry: the front wheels sit ahead of the door, not under the seat. The Carry kept that layout until the short wheelbase DA65T of 2005 and the DA16T of 2013 went back to a full cab.
- The F6A truck is easier to service than it looks: Suzuki moved the engine under the driver's seat so it can be reached with the bed loaded.
- Type prefix GD- (GD-DA52T, GD-DB52T) in Suzuki's Digital Library and in catalogs.
- Every DA52T is 25 years old on 28 October 2026.

F6ANamed 2010 to 2016
Named for mini trucks, carburetted, model years 2010 to 2016.
A truck under 25 can come in only as governed off road equipment, and only if its engine family held an EPA nonroad certificate for that model year. No kei engine family was certified for mini trucks before model year 2010, so a truck built after 31 October 2001 and before model year 2010 has no federal door until its 25th birthday.
