A new platform and wider door opening, the windscreen moved forward, more seat slide, 20 storage places, a revised front suspension and a 3.6 m turning radius on the kept short wheelbase. Japan's only electronically controlled 4AT in a kei truck beside the 5MT, with a taller fifth gear; part time 4WD. e:S technology with higher compression and an electronic throttle. Driver airbag and front pretensioners on every truck, the 56 km/h offset crash rule met. The whole upper body in rust proof steel, three layer paint and a resin front panel against stone chips, a first for a kei truck. Eight colours and pack options (colour, beauty, agricultural women, stylish, cabin, bed, safety, convenience, strong rust), shaped with the farm ministry's Agricultural Women Project.

- The code did not change at the December 2021 update, which brought a new face, the CVT and the electronic 4WD. Read the gearbox and the front, not the code, to tell an early S500P from a late one.

KFUnnamed family 2016 to 2026
Never named. Three unnamed 658 cc injected mini truck families are certified from model years 2016, 2017 and 2018 to 2026. The KF, K6A, R06A and S07B are all 658 cc, so the public data cannot say which.
A truck under 25 can come in only as governed off road equipment, and only if its engine family held an EPA nonroad certificate for that model year. No kei engine family was certified for mini trucks before model year 2010, so a truck built after 31 October 2001 and before model year 2010 has no federal door until its 25th birthday.
