Kei trucks for the mine, the quarry and the gravel pit
MSHA's mine list carried 5,802 active surface mines and quarries in the 50 states on 23 October 2026, 4,933 of them stone, sand and gravel. A kei truck moves people, tools and parts around a pit or a plant where a full size truck is more than the job needs.
The ground
The work, counted.
Each figure opens the dataset it was counted from.
The road, both lanes
What each state allows.
Of the 50 states and DC, 13 title a kei truck 25 years or older for the road, 18 open the road to it with limits, one has a road law passed and not yet in force, 10 have not settled it and nine do not register kei trucks for ordinary road use. Every state file names farms, private land or ground the owner holds among the places a newer governed truck may work.
